Tegan Nox is the new No. 1 contender for the NXT Women's Championship after pulling out a huge victory during night 1 of The Great American Bash.

The Welsh Wonder was involved in a Fatal 4-Way Elimination Match to determine the next challenger for Io Shirai's title, and managed to outlast Mia Yim, Candice LeRae and her old nemesis Dakota Kai to win the bout.

LeRa was the first to be eliminated after falling to Yim's Eat Defeat, but The HBIC soon found herself joining the Poison Pixie when Kai utilized a schoolgirl roll-up to keep her shoulders down for the 3-count.

With no Raquel González at ringside to cause a distraction or interfere, Kai was unable to keep Nox down, and the Girl with The Shiniest Wizard was ultimately able to hit that very move to eliminate her final opponent and win the match. Nox will go on to face Shirai for the title at a later date.
