The TNA Invasion has begun!
Last week, NXT turned into pure chaos during the NXT Championship match between Oba Femi and Trick Williams. TNA made their intentions clear and they promise to finish what they started at the upcoming Invasion show.
In the meantime, NXT held their No Mercy PLE in the midst of this chaos and the night ended with a new NXT Champion! Ricky Saints is surely living on cloud nine as the new top dog of NXT, but with this invasion hanging over the developmental brand, what will happen with the newly crowned NXT Champion?
Lola Vice was screwed out of the NXT Women’s Championship. The NXT star was on the cusp of winning the prestigious title on Saturday until a mysterious attacker ruined her chances of beating Jacy Jayne. Vice lost in front of her family and friends, and the recent NXT Women’s title challenger is sure to be on the hunt for the woman who robbed her of the NXT Women’s title.
In a rematch, Jaida Parker and Lash Legend will clash due to the latter’s interference at No Mercy. Parker replaced Lainey Reid for the Speed Championship and got in Zaria’s face. But Lash came out to confront Parker, but ended up eating a spear from Zaria. Lash Legend beat Parker earlier this month, can she repeat that success on tonight’s NXT?
Also, Ethan Page remains the NXT North American Champion. The cocky Canadian kid continues to prove why he’s one of the best in the world. However, his continued disrespect of the United States will draw the ire of another man. Will a new challenger step forward?
The focus for tonight’s NXT is geared towards the upcoming NXT Invasion special on Tuesday, October 7. Expect a special announcement regarding a men’s and women’s elimination tag team matches.
