Tommaso Ciampa Takes Out Austin Theory On NXT; Match Set For Next Week's Episode

Former EVOLVE Champion Austin Theory was set for a match on NXT week when Tommaso Ciampa made his way to the ring to cut a promo. Theory didn't like that, but he should have left The Blackheart be!

To quote a line from LA Confidential, "it's best to leave the man be when his blood is up." Austin Theory learned that the hard way when he interrupted Tommaso Ciampa's promo this week on NXT.

To be fair, Theory had entered the ring first in anticipation of a match that never happened, but The Blackheart was determined to address his old friend Johnny Gargano's actions at TakeOver: Portland. The former EVOLVE Champion eventually lost his patience and grabbed The Blackheart's mic, which really wasn't a great idea.

Ciampa repeatedly ran Theory into the guardrails, leaving the young Superstar a beaten mess.

Now, the match has been made and both men will collide next week. The episode will also feature the return of Finn Balor, who was victorious over Gargano at TakeOver. Could these storylines cross-over? Seems like a decent possibility to us.
