Will Tony D’Angelo get his revenge?
Shortly before Vengeance Day, Shawn Spears shocked the world with a brutal beatdown of D’Angelo and the entire family. Stacks tried to avenge The D’Angelo family but the veteran got the better of the young NXT star. However, it’s a different ball game now that Tony D’Angelo is back.
The North American Champion has beaten Spears before, but that was prior the ruthless assault. D’Angelo has successfully defended that belt for 147 days against six NXT stars, whereas Spears is on the hunt for his first title in WWE. D’Angelo’s focus is to get Spears’ blood on his hands, but will his rage distract him from keeping the North American Championship?
The Women’s U.S. Champion decided to grace the NXT audience with her presence last week and accidentally stumbled into a match against Sol Ruca and Zaria. The up-and-coming NXT stars have been gaining momentum as a tag team in recent weeks, but Green and Niven are former WWE Tag Team Champions. The Smackdown stars understand what it takes to be a team and this will surely be the biggest challenge of Ruca and Zaria’s career thus far.
NXT Roadblock is in a matter of weeks and several huge matches have been made for the show. Expect more TNA involvement since Moose will challenge Oba Femi for the NXT Championship and The Hardys are scheduled to defend their belts against FrAxiom.
Also, Roxanne Perez re-ignited her rivalry with Jordynne Grace last week. Though the former NXT Women’s Champion didn’t win the Elimination Chamber, she’ll be surely trying to make a statement by taking down a woman who’s been a nasty thorn in her side. How will Perez respond after Grace clocked her in the mouth last week?
Ricky Saints, NXT Women’s Champion Giulia, NXT Women’s North American Champion Stephanie Vaquer, Kelani Jordan, and Jaida Parker are expected to appear on tonight’s NXT episode. Check out the advertised line-up below:
