The TNA World Championship will be defended again.
Trick Williams has been on a roll since he beat Joe Hendry for the prestigious belt at Battleground. He’s beaten Mike Santana and Elijah since, though under controversial circumstances. Nevertheless, Trick Williams comes in with some huge momentum as he hasn’t lost a singles match since February.
On the other hand, Josh Briggs isn’t much of a singles star. Briggs hasn’t won a singles match since December 2024, though his victory over Williams did help him earn a shot at the TNA World Championship. Though Briggs has yet to win a singles title in NXT, he is a former Evolve Champion.
Briggs held that belt for 235 days; beating top Evolve stars such as Austin Theory, JD Drake, and Dexter Lumis throughout his lengthy run. Can Josh Briggs recapture that magic and win his first singles title in five years?
Jacy Jayne does not like Blake Monroe. The NXT Women’s Champion made that extremely clear last week by beating down the former AEW World Women’s Champion and putting her through a table. But Jayne has bigger fish to fry since a challenger for her belt will be confirmed tonight.
Jordynne Grace, Lash Legend, Izzi Dame, and Jaider Parker will fight for an opportunity to challenge Jacy at Evolution. Grace is the only woman who has previously held a world title; however, the former TNA Knockouts Champion has struggled to get the job done since her NXT return earlier this year.
Legend, Dame, and Parker have grown within the last year. Though none of these women are former champions, their past performances guarantee that they’ll be on top of the mountain soon. Who will win the Evolution Four way match to challenge Jacy Jayne for the NXT Women’s Championship?
