Triple H has confirmed that NXT will have a TakeOver on WrestleMania weekend.

The founder of the developmental brand revealed on social media that NXT TakeOver: Tampa, will take place the night before WWE WrestleMania 36 – which is April 5 - at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, FL. Tickets will go on sale this Friday, December 13th.

The black and yellow brand will make its return to Saturday night following the company’s decision to move TakeOver to Friday night in April 2019. That evening, WALTER defeated Pete Dunne to capture the NXT UK Championship and Johnny Gargano won the vacant NXT Championship by beating Adam Cole in a two out of three falls match.

There’s no word on what the plans are for the event in 2020, but NXT has failed to deliver a bad TakeOver yet, and with the current talent that they have on their roster, this one shouldn’t be any different.
