Triple H Reveals That Poppy's "X" Will Be The Theme Of NXT TAKEOVER: PHOENIX

Well, this is unexpected. Triple H has announced that singer and internet sensation Poppy will provide the theme for NXT TakeOver: Phoenix and it's fair to say that this is outside of WWE's normal wheelhouse.

Triple H has officially revealed that the #NXTLoud theme for NXT TakeOver: Phoenix will be "X" by Poppy. Now, we're used to WWE choosing some pretty unexpected artists for NXT shows but this is definitely a surprise and for those of you unfamiliar with the YouTube star, she's been compared to everyone from Andy Warhol to David Lynch, and Tim Burton, so, yeah, she's pretty damn unique!

We don't know if Poppy will actually be present at the event but that would definitely be fun to see and based on the video below, her interactions with various WWE Superstars would be...something.

In all seriousness, she's clearly a talented young woman and should bring something new to the table for the show and that's no bad thing. NXT TakeOver: Phoenix obviously takes place before the Royal Rumble and if past experience is anything to go by, then it may very well outshine the main roster!
