Who could be next on the call-up sheet from NXT?
According to Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Radio, Triple H reportedly has his eye on bringing up Ricky Saints and current NXT North American Champion Ethan Page. Which isn’t much of a surprise.
Saints came into NXT pretty quick. The 35-year-old entered 2025 still an AEW contracted talent, but in February, Tony Khan opted to release him along with several other names such as Makai Black (Aleister Black) and Miro (Rusev). Immediately, Saints was brought into the NXT landscape and he quickly won his first title within three months. He held the NXT North American title for 56 days before dropping it to Page in May. There’s no firm date on when Saints or Page could make the transition to the main roster.
Ethan Page is an interesting one. The reports state that the CW loves the North American Champion due to the way he handles media appearances. Page made his debut in 2024 and he won the NXT Championship within the first month! Since then, Page has been one of the primary faces of the developmental brand. Neither Page or Saints needed to be in NXT in the first place.
They were well seasoned vets who were main roster ready from day one. However, Page has clearly benefitted from being down in NXT first. He got the chance to show how dynamic and talented of a performer he really is. Page showed promise in AEW, but Tony Khan never attempted to push him as a singles star. Shawn Michaels took a chance on Page and it’s paid off in a big way. Hopefully, when these two do make their main roster debut then it’s truly an impactful one. Saints will likely make his main roster debut before Page as the latter is currently the NXT North American Champion. Then again, guys like Kevin Owens and Karrion Kross made their main roster debut while still holding the NXT Championship, so anything is possible.
Saints seems to be putting over NXT talent at the moment as he’s coming off a feud against the North American Champion. As always, we’ll keep you updated on the status of both men as Page and Saints can make their main roster debut any week now. Could we be looking at a future member of Seth Rollins’ new faction?
