Two big championship matches could rock the landscape of NXT forever.
Oba Femi has been dominating the developmental brand since his days as NXT North American Champion. In total, Femi has held the title for 154 days; beating top level names such as Moose, Austin Theory, Trick Williams, Grayson Waller, and Je’Von Evans. However, Jasper Troy is an interesting opponent.
Troy signed with WWE in 2022 and became a notable fixture in the company throughout his stint in Legends & Future Greats. He won the competition, and made it clear from the jump that he’s aiming for Oba Femi by attacking the reigning NXT Champion.
Should Troy win, then he’ll accomplish a feat that even Femi wasn’t able to do by winning the NXT Championship less than three months after his official debut. Can the young star from Texas pull off a massive upset?
Speaking of potential upsets, Sean Legacy has the chance to shock the world by beating Ethan Page for the NXT North American Championship. Legacy is no rookie. Though he’s new to WWE audiences, the 29-year-old has been in the wrestling scene for nearly a decade.
Legacy has competed in AEW, Beyond Wrestling, Viral Pro Wrestling, and Game Changer Wrestling, with several singles titles under his belt. Will Legacy add another championship to his resume? Or will Ethan Page put the WWE rookie in check?
Last week, "The Glamour" Mariah May made her shocking debut. The former AEW Women’s World Champion made her intentions clear - she’s coming after Jacy Jayne’s NXT title! But so is most of the women’s division as there was a wild brawl before May made her appearance. What will be the follow-up for the former AEW Women’s World Champion? And what is the plan for the NXT Women’s Championship?
