Two big championship matches are confirmed for NXT.
Hank Walker and Tank Ledger shocked the world when they beat Fraxiom at Stand & Deliver for the NXT Tag Team titles. In retrospect, it makes sense since Nathan Frazer and Axiom are now on the main roster. But the newly crowned tag team champions' work is not even close to being done.
That’s because NXT still has a stacked roster of teams hungry to become the next tag team champions. One of those teams is Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura, a new duo who has been lighting up the division as of late. Briggs and Inamura were actually Fraxiom’s last challengers before the duo dropped the belts, and they came seconds away from winning the prestigious titles on multiple occasions.
Can Briggs and Inamura pull the trigger and capture the NXT Tag Team titles? Or will Briggs and Ledger prove that they’re the real deal?
For the NXT North American Championship, Ricky Saints is scheduled to square up against Lexis King. Saints has made a huge impact quickly since his arrival earlier this year; however, King has been slowly gaining steam over the past couple of months. The second generation star had a major setback by losing the Heritage Cup, but King can recover big time by winning his first singles title in WWE.
Also, TNA World Champion Joe Hendry successfully retained his belt against Ethan Page and Frankie Kazarian at Rebellion. However, Trick Williams made a surprise appearance and attacked the world champion. This stems from Hendry getting the better of Williams last week on NXT. Shawn Michaels has invited Hendry back to the developmental brand to settle his differences with the former NXT Champion. What will happen when these two meet in a ring once again?
All this and more has been confirmed for tonight’s NXT. Check out the advertised card below:
