VIDEO: Hideo Itami Suffered A Nasty-Looking Broken Nose During His Match On NXT Last Night

Hideo Itami suffered yet another injury during his match on NXT last night, but thankfully this one shouldn't cost him any time away from the ring.

Seeking revenge for Itami's triple-GTS party a couple of weeks ago, Oney Lorcan was a little careless with one of his devastating uppercuts, and broke his opponent's nose. The match was temporally stopped, but Itami soon returned and managed to pin Lorcan with another GTS.

After the match, Itami called out Kassius Ohno, but before the two could work anything out they were jumped by SAnitY’s Alexander Wolfe and Killian Dain.

Itami seems to have entered a "tweener" phase, in that he's not quite a face but hasn't fully transitioned into a heel yet.

It's possible this is an attempt to give his character a bit more ege and he will eventually settle back in as a good guy, but it's just as likley he'll wind up betraying Cassius Ohno during their inevitable match with SAnitY next week. The pair are rumored to be facing-off at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn III, after all.
