During last night’s NXT TakeOver, it was revealed that NXT UK will hold their second TakeOver event on August 31st called TakeOver: Cardiff. The event is scheduled to air live on the WWE Network at 3pm. Check out the promo video below:

Their first event took place back on January 12 with featured match-ups such as Toni Storm vs. Rhea Ripley for the NXT UK Women’s Championship and then NXT UK Champion Pete Dunne defending his title against Joe Coffey. Cardiff happens to be on the same day as AEW’s All Out and New Japan Pro Wrestling's Royal Quest show, Triple H spoke about the show taking place on the same day as both wrestling events (transcript courtesy of fightful.com):

"Contrary to the buzz, the date of August 31 is a date we've had for a long time," said Triple H in a post-TakeOver media call. "That building has been booked with us long before WrestleMania. We just hadn't announced because it wasn't the right time. We didn't want to announce something for the brand six months out. Tonight was the right night to do it. It has nothing to do with anybody else, and we will take place in primetime in the UK and be on in the afternoon in the US."
