The latest edition of WWE NXT for April 1, 2020 took place at the Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida.

Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:

— The Velveteen Dream defeated Bobby Fish by pinfall.

— Malcolm Bivens cut a quick promo/interview with McKenzie Mitchell about how he'll lead his associates Rinku Singh and Saurav Gurjar (collectively referred to as Bivens Enterprises) to take down anyone who stands in their way, including The BroserWeights.

— Dexter Lumis defeated Jake Atlas by submission.

— A replay of the brawl between Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa throughout the Performance Center aired. The tagline for their upcoming match is "Black Heart vs. Rebel Heart: One Final Beat"

— Another vignette played for Killer Kross.

— Dakota Kai won the Second Chance Gauntlet Match to earn the final spot in the NXT Women's Championship No. 1 Contender's Ladder Match next week. Shotzi Blackheart had defeated Deonna Purrazzo, then Xia Li, then Aliyah, then Kayden Carter before falling victim to Kai.

— Kushida defeated Joaquin Wilde by submission. Following the match, Wilde was abducted by two masked men in a car, similar to what happened to Raul Mendoza.

— Keith Lee retained the North American Championship in a Triple Threat match against Damian Priest and Dominik Dijakovic by pinning Dijakovic.
