The latest edition of WWE NXT for July 29, 2020 took place from the NXT Arena at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, Florida.

Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:

— Tegan Nox and Io Shirai defeated Candice LeRae and Dakota Kai by pinfall

— Johnny Gargano defeated Roderick Strong by pinfall

— Mercedes Martinez defeated Shotzi Blackheart by pinfall

— A video package was shown hyping Ridge Holland to return to NXT next week. He said he's coming for the North American Championship and the other two in the qualifying match will be Damian Priest and Oney Lorcan.

— Keith Lee called out Karrion Kross. Cameron Grimes came out instead to talk about how he would have taken both belts from Lee if he hadn't already given up the North American title. Eventually, Lee took out Grimes and spoke to Kross about how if he wants a title shot, all he has to do is name the time and place and he'll whoop his ass.

— Imperium (Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel) defeated Ever-Rise (Chase Parker and Matt Martel) by pinfall. After the match, The Undisputed ERA attacked Barthel and Aichner.

— Isaiah "Swerve" Scott defeated Jake Atlas by pinfall

— Triple Threat Match: Dexter Lumis defeated Finn Balor and Timothy Thatcher by submission to qualify for the vacant North American Championship ladder match set to take place at TakeOver XXX.
