The latest edition of WWE NXT for October 21, 2020 took place from the WWE Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida.

Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:

— Triple Threat Match: Kushida defeated Tommaso Ciampa and Velveteen Dream by pinfall.

— Ember Moon defeated Jessi Kamea by pinfall. After the match, Moon was attacked by Dakota Kai.

— Bobby Fish was attacked backstage by someone, but he didn't see who did it. As he was sent to the hospital for an MRI, he was ruled out of the tag title match for later, with Kyle O'Reilly taking his place.

— Bronson Reed defeated Austin Theory by pinfall. After the match, Theory grabbed a microphone and demanded a rematch. However, Reed promptly beat Theory by pinfall in a few seconds once more.

— Six-Man Tag Team Match: Legado del Fantasma (Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza) defeated Isaiah "Swerve" Scott, Ashante "Thee" Adonis, and Jake Atlas by pinfall

— Ever-Rise (Chase Parker and Matt Martel) beat Drake Maverick and Killian Dain by disqualification as Maverick introduced a steel chair, much to Dain's pleasure. Dain then changed his tone and was upset again once their super happy-go-lucky theme started playing and Maverick began whistling and dancing.

— Roderick Strong was also attacked backstage. Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan offered one of themselves to tag alongside Kyle O'Reilly, as they said The Undisputed ERA beat them fair and square. O'Reilly decided to go check up on his friends at the hospital, though. William Regal announced Lorcan and Burch would get the title opportunity, then.

— Kacy Catanzaro defeated Xia Li by pinfall. Out of frustration for losing, Li attacked Catanzaro after the match and fought with Kayden Carter, too. Then, Raquel Gonzalez took them all out and cut a promo about Rhea Ripley and how she'll beat her next week at Halloween Havoc.

— Timothy Thatcher held another class about submissions, this time in the ring. His pupil, Anthony Greene, actually fought back, which upset Thatcher, who called for a referee. Thatcher then beat Greene by submission.

— NXT Tag Team Championship Match: The Brit-Am Brawlers (Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan) defeated Breezango (Tyler Breeze and Fandango) by pinfall to win the titles with some help from a masked man, who turned out to be Pat McAfee, who clearly was the culprit behind attacking The Undisputed ERA.
