The latest edition of WWE NXT for September 30, 2020 took place from the NXT Arena at Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida, Florida.

Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:

Shotzi Blackheart defeated Dakota Kai by pinfall.

— Isaiah "Swerve" Scott and Santos Escobar traded verbal shots in a promo segment via split-screen.

— Cameron Grimes wanted to do a "stepping stone invitational" with opponents he hand-picked. He beat one of the jobbers immediately with his finisher, but the next guy was taken out on the entrance ramp by Ridge Holland, who went to the ring for a match with Grimes. Holland got disqualified because he kept stomping on Grimes and ignored the referee's count.

Kushida beat Tony Nese by submission.

— Adam Cole called Austin Theory out, as Theory had talked some trash about Kyle O'Reilly. Cole then beat Theory by pinfall.

— Kayden Carter (with Kacy Catanzaro) defeated Xia Li by pinfall. Li angrily pushed Carter down after the match due to her frustration from losing.

— Finn Balor and Kyle O'Reilly had a face-to-face that was mediated by Shawn Michaels.

— Mixed Tag Team Match: Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae defeated Damian Priest and Io Shirai by pinfall
