WWE Officially Announces The Signing Of Indie Sensation Trevor “Ricochet” Mann
After a lot of buzz and speculation, WWE has officially announced that "King Ricochet" has singed a contract, and has begun his training at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. More past the jump...
Ricochet's recent farewell at an indie show added to the mounting speculation that the ultra-talented star was WWE-bound, and the company has now made it official.
The 29-year-old indie sensation is already a 14-year veteran, and it widely regarded as one of the best high-flyers in the business. Among his many accomplishments, Ricochet has twice won Pro Wrestling Guerrilla’s annual Battle of Los Angeles tournament, and he is only the second American in history to win New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Best of the Super Juniors tournament.
Here's what WWE had to say about their hot new signing:
Standing 5-foot-9 and weighing 188 pounds, Mann brings an astonishing assortment of aerial moves to the ring. He first earned notoriety in Japan for an eye-popping double-moonsault, and his 630° senton remains one of the most potent weapons in his arsenal. Mann, who credits Guerrero, Rey Mysterio and The Rock as three of his in-ring influences, was inspired to pursue sports-entertainment after watching The Great One and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin do battle at WrestleMania XV.
There's a chance Mann will head straight to the main roster, but it's far more likely he'll make his debut on NXT so keep an eye out.
