Ladies and gentleman your new Impact World Champion is Brian Cage!
This was a hard-worked match-up that had plenty of shenanigans, but Cage bested Impact with the winning maneuver he connected with at Homecoming, The Drill Claw. Despite the difference in size, the styles of both men complimented each other greatly; Cage used his nice power and speed to get the advantage over Impact until the then world champion hit a nasty Spanish Fly from the ramp to the floor.
The match-up eventually spiraled out of control when referee Lance Storm was taken out the picture. Impact tried to use his cronies Taya Valkyrie and John E. Bravo to screw Cage over once again, but Storm was able to recover and nailed a superkick to Bravo, while Cage was able to dispatch of both husband and wife.
Despite being bloody and battered, Cage held his newly won world title high until former ROH and New Japan star Michael Elgin walked out. Cage and Elgin had a stare down until the new Impact star connected with a sit-out powerbomb, leaving the champion lying.
