It Appears GLOBAL FORCE WRESTLING Will Soon Be Known As IMPACT WRESTLING...Again

Things for Global Force Wrestling just took a very unexpected turn as the company formerly known as Impact Wrestling will seemingly return to that name after even more problems behind the scenes of the company.

Just when we started getting used to referring to Impact Wrestling as "Global Force Wrestling," it appears as if yet another rebranding is in the works. While the merger between the two companies has been public for a while now, it looks like if it was never made official from a legal standpoint as it seems rights holder Jeff Jarrett has decided to take the name with him.

He was recently ousted from the company by Anthem Sports for reasons which aren't quite clear but a couple of press releases sent out by the company has seen the show once again referred to solely as Impact Wrestling. There was no mention of "Global Force Wrestling," "Global Force," or "GFW" in there which is quite a bit different to past releases they've sent out.

Going with the GFW branding was a good way to get away from the TNA stigma but if it is the case that Anthem is going with Impact Wrestling again, they'll have to change all the title belts and the name of the show back to what it was a couple of months ago. That's not exactly a good way to hold on to their diminishing fan base but we'll be sure to keep you updated here.
