The Impact World Championship main event for Rebellion has been set.
During the company’s latest set of television tapings, it was confirmed that Tessa Blanchard would defend the Impact World Championship against Michael Elgin and Eddie Edwards.
Elgin and the former TNA World Heavyweight Champion have been fighting in a best of five series and during the tapings in Las Vegas, the final match saw a draw between the two competitors. The winner of the series would’ve been the rightful owner of the Call Your Shot stipulation, which gives them an opportunity at any title of their choosing.
While it first appeared that Blanchard and Sami Callihan would face off one more time, their encounter at Hard To Kill seems to be the blow off of their feud. However, Impact Wrestling has yet to confirm the main event for their Lockdown pay-per-view on March 28th, so it’s possible that ‘The Draw’ could get his rematch at the Impact Plus exclusive event.
IMPACT has yet to officially announce the match or any other matches set for Rebellion, taking place on April 19 at Terminal 5 in New York.
