Over the past few months, we've seen a lot of WWE Superstars appearing on independent shows. It's an unexpected and strange trend but points to the company trying to create a better relationship with smaller companies who they can help...and hire talent from for NXT! Now, Cedric Alexander is heading back to EVOLVE for one weekend only (until the next time).
As you can see below, Alexander is heading to EVOLVE 92 and 93 this weekend to square off with Zack Sabre Jr. in Detroit and Fred Yehi in Chicago the next evening.
"I’m very happy to be back in EVOLVE," Alexander says. "I consider it both a blessing and a privilege that WWE has allowed me to come and use the reputation as a Superstar to put more eyes on a promising independent company such as Evolve. I look forward to sharing the ring and locker room with the talent, and also catching up with old friends."
Alexander made a name for himself in EVOLVE after moving on from Ring of Honor and he became a top star there before being chosen for WWE's Cruiserweight Classic.
