It's been confirmed that WWE Superstar Brian Kendrick is no longer an active wrestler. This definitely comes as a surprise, especially as we last saw him compete on 205 Live in October. During that episode, he teamed with Mansoor to defeat Ever-Rise.

Now, Kendrick has transitioned into a producer role in NXT, something which was confirmed on the below video shared via the WWE Performance Center's YouTube channel.

In the video, the former Cruiserweight Champion talks about how much he's been enjoying working as a producer in WWE, though it does sound like this might be a trial run as it's noted that he's talking about the "possibility" of remaining in that role. Given his experience working in wrestling companies across the world, it's hard to think of anyone more perfect for the job.

Kendrick stole the show when he returned to WWE for the Cruiserweight Classic, and has since spent most of his time competing on 205 Live. In an earlier WWE run, he won the Tag Team titles alongside Paul London. He also held the TNA X-Division Championship in that company.

You can check out Kendrick's full comments in the player below, and we'll keep you updated on his status.
