Alexa Bliss Responds To Criticism From Fans About Her Weird Gimmick With A Suitably Wacky Photo

Alexa Bliss has been coming under fire from fans a lot in recent months for her new Firefly Funhouse-inspired gimmick, but she's now responded to those criticisms with a blunt message and a fitting photo.

Fans have not been particularly kind about Alexa Bliss' latest gimmick, criticising the fact the former Women's Champion is being booked to act like a child and use magic powers on her fellow Superstars.

While no one can fault Bliss for the effort she's put into bringing this Firefly Funhouse character to life on RAW each week, it's when things get silly that it becomes hard to stomach. After all, it's hard to get behind someone like Shayna Baszler being booked to sell mind control and a possessed doll!

Now, Bliss has taken to Twitter to issue a blanket statement about the criticism, simply responding with: "They can say what they want...but I’m actually having fun."

That is good to hear, but should fans turn on Bliss and her new persona once they return to WWE shows next month, it could be that she won't be having fun with the gimmick much longer. It's possible that she will be over in front of crowds and that the negativity online is just from a vocal minority, but time will tell on that front.

Bliss will compete at Money in the Bank in the women's ladder match. Check out her Tweet below:
