Apollo Crews was recently a guest on WWE's The Bump to mark his huge victory during Monday night's episode of RAW (where he won the United States Championship). That was the first title he picked up in WWE, and it's been a long time coming considering the fact he made his NXT debut back in May 2015.
Since moving to the main roster, WWE hasn't done much with him, but it now looks like that's changing.
"It’s a, it’s a greater feeling than even then I actually expected," Crews said, referring to beating Andrade for the title. "You know it didn’t really hit me till I was in bed Tuesday night and I’m like ‘okay my adrenaline is pumping I can’t go to sleep you know?'"
"And I’m just kind of sitting there and I’ll just say, it really, really truly hit me all in one moment. I took a second to say to myself ‘is really hitting me?’ It hit me, but it didn’t REALLY hit me right after the match. But when I got a chance to settle in and I got to watch the match back? It really truly sunk in and it was a great feeling."
There have been conflicting reports about just how seriously Vince McMahon is taking Crews' push, but it would definitely be good to see him finally get a chance. What do you guys think? Let us know in the comments section.
