Bruce Prichard is a longtime WWE employee and the current Executive Director of SmackDown. Recently, Newsweek caught up with him to discuss a wide range of topics, including the new WWE Network documentary Undertaker: The Last Ride. The topic of the Deadman's possible retirement also came up, and Prichard had an interesting take on that.
After explaining that there's a mutual trust between The Undertaker and Vince McMahon, he explained that the legendary wrestler has never threatened to leave WWE and has always been on the front lines for the company.
He also noted that the friendship between those two is based on respect and love, so when The Undertaker does choose to retire, it will be with the WWE Chairman's input. "I think he’ll let Taker decide on his own, but I guarantee you that it’ll be a mutual decision. I think it’ll be a decision that they’ll discuss and mutually agree upon."
"If Vince thinks he can get one more out of him or Taker feels he has one more left in him, the other will respect that and make it work," he added.
Needless to say, The Undertaker is showing no signs of slowing down, but it will be interesting seeing what his last match actually ends up being in WWE...
