In the Ruthless Aggression documentary streaming on the WWE Network, Randy Orton, Dave Bautista, and Bully Ray all reflected on injuries which were sustained by the Evolution members at a non-televised WWE Live event almost two decades ago.

It seems that both Orton and Bautista believe it was something the Dudley Boyz did deliberately to put them in their place, whereas the iconic tag team put it down to a freak accident in the ring. Bautista clearly still holds some resentment over that based on his comments, but it sounds like The Viper has buried the hatchet with the man also known as Bubba Ray Dudley.

"If anybody saw Ruthless Aggression, like the third episode. You could see there was a mistake that happened in a ring like 20 years ago with me, Devon, Batista and Randy Orton," Bully explained on Busted Open Radio. "There was a lot of animosity that was carried, you know with me and Randy over the years. For one of those nights that was just. You know. A bad day at the office. Everybody got hurt in the ring that night, just because of a mistake, a bad night."

"Me and Randy, we’re not sending each other Christmas cards for a long time," he continued. "And then the very first day we saw each other in 2015 when me and the Devon had returned to the WWE; we instantly shook hands, hugged, sat down and talked for five minutes and realised that we had both matured. We both admitted that we overreacted to the situation."

Bully Ray went on to praise the angle Orton is currently involved in with Edge, and it really does seem as if things have changed between them now. There's no denying that it does sound like Orton and Bautista's injuries weren't an accident, but wrestlers have their own way of doing things, and it didn't ultimately hurt The Viper's career all that much.
