Mike Kanellis, AKA Mike Bennett, debuted at the Money in the Bank PPV to minimal fanfare, with a somewhat bizarre (yes, their theme-song is still awesome) "loved-up" gimmick along with his wife, Maria.

Though the pair were featured in a few segments following this and briefly feuded with Sami Zayne, we haven't really seen a whole lot of 'em since, and Mike certainly hasn't received anything like the push many fans expected.

Now, The Dirty Sheets podcast reports that WWE hasn't pushed Kanellis because he arrived at the company in “less than stellar physical shape.” According to them, the wrestler has gained some heat backstage because of his "lazy, complacent" attitude.

Here's what one of their inside sources had to say on the matter:

“Mike signed two months before he came in and it looks like he just sat on his couch. The company doesn’t get it. He’s one of the guys who said it’s his dream to be here and he doesn’t even get in shape for it.”

Kanellis' current gimmick was always going to be difficult to get over, anyway, so if this is accurate he may be looking at some hard months ahead.
