Roman Reigns is the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and seemingly unstoppable. With that in mind, you can probably understand why the Head of the Table is the ultimate opponent in the minds of many WWE Superstars.
Not so for WWE's longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER.
During a recent interview with Sportskeeda, he admitted that Reigns isn't exactly someone he's eager to wrestle when it comes to his in-ring future.
"I wouldn't consider Roman as a dream opponent," GUNTHER states. "I think we're two completely different wrestlers. He's obviously somebody that came up through, first of all, his family history. But then he trained in the WWE system and got brought up through that."
"I think he's a picture-perfect example of how WWE can take someone and turn them into an absolute Superstar."
GUNTHER clearly respects Reigns but, as someone who fought his way through the European wrestling scene, his rise has differed greatly from that of the Tribal Chief. Even so, he's undeniably intrigued about what a match like this could look like.
"What he has achieved is absolutely incredible," GUNTHER said of Reigns. "The aura he has, and the reaction he gets when he steps foot in an arena, is almost like never seen before. So that makes it very interesting for me - yeah, at some point, if the chance arises to see...who would come out of this as the winner."
For now, though, Brock Lesnar remains GUNTHER's top pick for a future clash.
"He's definitely somebody I looked up to," the Austrian says. "I always admired him for how he handles himself and his business and stuff. For me personally, I think he's my biggest obstacle at some point in my career. So if there's a chance that this happens, I would love to do that, of course."
These days, Lesnar likes to get in and out with money in hand as quickly and effortlessly as possible. He's still a blast to watch but we find it hard to believe that even The Beast would be down for a 20-minute match featuring chops which will leave his chest covered in welts.
You never know what might happen, though...
