Last night's mass culling of talent by WWE has been dubbed "Black Wednesday," and 39 employees were released by the company in a bid to save money during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It's thought that more firings are on the way, and that's a sad prospect, especially in such uncertain times.

Now, Dave Meltzer has shed some light on the situation, and he believes that several more wrestlers and staff from NXT will be next to be cut. He believes main roster talent is safe for now, but you never know what might happen. However, he does share some very interesting information about how much money WWE is saving as a result of the recent culling of talent.

It's thought that WWE is now going to be saving around $703,000 per month, a massive amount of money which will help them in a big way while ticket sales and the like are at zero.

Things are looking bleak for the wrestling business right now, but it's likely to rebound, and WWE is able to continue holding shows in the WWE Performance Center for the foreseeable future. That means they will be able to remain on television, something which should help keep them afloat.

We'll keep you updated as we learn more!
