It Doesn't Sound Like Bray Wyatt's Sister Abigail Will Ever Be Introduced As An Actual Character On WWE TV
When Bray Wyatt first broke on to the scene talking about his mysterious Sister Abigail, many assumed it'd only be a matter of time before she showed up. However, it doesn't look like that's going to happen...
Ever since Bray Wyatt began preaching about Sister Abigail, fans expected this mysterious lady to make her grand entrance at some point down the line - and even when it was revealed that Abigail was actually dead and Randy Orton set fire to her bones, there were still rumors that this act has "freed her spirit" and would allow her to take shape.
Some even speculated that Eva Marie was going to be given a sister Abigail makeover for a while. Could you imagine?
Well, if what former WWE creative team member Kevin Eck said during his appearance on the most recent PWTorch Livecast is anything to go by, we won't be seeing any kind of physical manifestation of Abigail... ever.
“From what I know about how Bray Wyatt envisioned that character, I don’t think that character is ever going to be seen, because the way Bray explained it, and I don’t think it’s ever come out on TV, he speaks in riddles, so maybe if you read in-between the lines, but Bray Wyatt was apparently a young man and Sister Abigail was an old, black woman, in I believe, the swamps of Louisiana who had some supernatural powers, and you know, the history of voodoo and such in New Orleans. I believe she took him under her wing and kind of taught him the secrets of what she knows of the dark arts and things like that.
So that’s who Sister Abigail was, or is in Bray’s mind….she’s an almost witch-like character who made him what he is and told him he’s special and he’s kind of the chosen one. So if WWE ever goes with Bray’s vision, I don’t think you’re ever going to see a physical Sister Abigail.”
It's interesting that Abigail wasn't envisioned as Bray's actual sister, which is what most of us assumed. Of course, just because this was Bray's initial concept for the character, doesn't mean it couldn't be retconned if WWE ever does decide to do something with ol' Abby. A female companion/advocate for Bray could work very well, after all.
