The King is dead, long live...the Baron?!

During SmackDown a couple of weeks ago, King Corbin put his crown on the line in a match with Shinsuke Nakamura. The King of Strong Style won the bout, and that crown, and it's clear now that Corbin is back to being Baron Corbin after his big King of the Ring victory a couple of years ago.

Why? Well, WWE has updated Corbin's name on the website to read "Baron Corbin" instead of "King Corbin."

There's been a lot of speculation that the King of the Ring tournament is set to return soon, though if this is meant to be building to that, then it's unclear what that means for Nakamura. As of right now, his name hasn't been changed, and this tournament would make sense for when fans return to shows (especially if it culminates at the WrestleMania-sized SummerSlam this August).

Xavier Woods has made his interest in the tournament clear, and this would be a good way for WWE to get a mid-card Superstar over with fans after more than a year of them only being able to watch from home.

As for Corbin, his reaction to the change is pretty priceless:
