America is facing a lot of restrictions due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and the signs are all pointing to
WrestleMania no longer taking place as planned early next month in Tampa, Florida. Over the weekend, we heard that the city is hoping WWE pulls the plug on the show before they have to, and now the CDC has issues some new advice.
In that, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is advising against gatherings of 50 people or more for the next eight weeks; that means the chances of
WrestleMania happening are slim.
Vince McMahon and WWE could decide to still hold the show - in the WWE Performance Center, perhaps - or in the Raymond James Stadium. However, there would be no crowd in attendance, so that might mean the company instead chooses to postpone the Show of Shows.
The CDC has warned against large events including "conferences, festivals, parades, concerts, sporting events, weddings, and other types of assemblies," and organisations are being asked to cancel those.
As of right now, though, we've heard nothing official from WWE, so we'll be sure to keep you updated!
