New #1 Contender Match For The Universal Championship At WWE SUMMERSLAM Set For Next Week's RAW

Samoa Joe may have failed to win the Universal Title from Brock Lesnar at Great Balls of Fire, but The Destroyer will get another chance at SummerSlam - provided he can get past Roman Reigns next week on RAW!

Last night on RAW, GM Kurt Angle was in the middle of congratulating Brock Lesnar on his Great Balls of Fire Universal Championship defence when both Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe made their way to the ring. Joe feels he deserves another shot, while the Big Dog figures his brutal beat-down of Braun Strowman (even though he did actually lose the Ambulance Match) puts him next in line.

As you'll no doubt have guessed, Angle made a number #1 contender match for next week on RAW, with the winner going on to face The Beast at SummerSlam.

All reports indicate that WWE is planning on Reigns VS. Lesnar at SS, which means Joe will most likely wind up on the losing end - however, there is always the chance that we could see a Triple Threat Match at the PPV since Brock enjoys working with The Destroyer so much and is said to carry quite a bit of sway with the company.

That's probably the best case scenario, but we'll have to tune in next Monday to find out.
