There's a lot that WWE does which doesn't really make sense, and you can count this among those decisions. According to Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp, Vanessa Borne has been called up to the main roster. That's not necessarily surprising, but what does come as something of a shocker is the fact that it happened as far back as January or February!

This explains why she's been absent from NXT television in recent months, but there's no word on what's ledt to her not being used on RAW or SmackDown

Interestingly, the site notes that, "Borne’s situation was compared to that of Riddick Moss, who had a deal coming up, and then was promoted to the main roster upon re-signing." In other words, WWE may have promised Borne a main roster spot in order to get her to sign a new contract, but now have no plans for her.

That's ridiculous, but it's possible the reason for this is because of the COVID-19 pandemic changing so many of WWE's plans in recent months (it's feasible she was supposed to be among those debuting the night after WrestleMania, for example).

We'll keep you guys updated if and when we learn more about WWE's plans for Borne on the main roster.
