Vince McMahon didn't have much luck the first time he attempted to launch a pro football league but he's giving it another go with the XFL in 2020. As you can see below, the WWE CEO made the news official in a livestream on social media and the response has been one of shock despite the fact that this has been rumoured ever since he quietly launched Alpha Entertainment.

It sounds like the XFL will be very different to the NFL and social media is clearly going to play a large role in the way games pan out. It's impossible to say whether or not it will work at this stage but McMahon is clearly hoping he can make a success of it, leaving a legacy of not only wrestling but pro football behind as well. What do you guys think? Let us know in the usual place.
