Possible Reason For Aleister Black's Heel Turn On Monday Night RAW Revealed

Aleister Black returned to Raw last night sporting an eye covering and a (seemingly) far less confident demeanor. This led to a heel turn when he attacked Kevin Owens, and we may now know why...

An eye-patch wearing Aleister Black returned to Raw this week as a guest on the Kevin Owens Show, and after initially selling his eye injury, he turned heel by taking out KO with a Black Mass kick.

We'd been told to expect some "tweaks" to the Dutch Destroyer's character after he was written off TV with the eye injury angle, but it sounds like the original plan might not have been for him to turn.

According to Dave Meltzer, Seth Rollins was being lined up as Owens next opponent, but when Rey Mysterio re-signed with the company they decided to continue that feud instead, leaving KO in limbo. So, it was decided to turn Black heel and have him enter into a storyline with Kevin.

Black working heel has a lot of potential, but it makes zero sense for him not to seek retribution against Murphy after almost blinding him. Then again, maybe he'll do that anyway - WWE doesn't seem too concerned about clearly defining good/bad guys these days anyway!

What do you guys think? Looking forward to Black vs. Owens? Expect that match to be announced for Payback later this week.
