There's some good news for WWE today as Monday night's episode of RAW did see a slight increase in terms of viewership. According to Showbuzz Daily, the episode drew an average of 1.714 million viewers on the USA Network, a small increase of less than 100,000 viewers from last Monday's 1.620 million viewers.
Shane McMahon was brought back to boost viewership, while WWE also teased the debut of a new faction (who never actually showed up and just caused minor technical issues throughout the night).
The biggest change, of course, was the introduction of "RAW Underground," a backstage fight club featuring shoot fights which dominated the third hour. Despite that, ratings plummeted during hour three, so fans clearly weren't interested enough to stick around and didn't get on board with the idea.
Hour one of RAW drew 1.710 million viewers, hour two did 1.824 million viewers, and hour three fell to 1.610 million viewers.
This is an increase from last week's 1.463 million viewers in the final hour, but if things don't change, expect WWE to scrap Underground as quickly as they did that edgy third hour of RAW which only lasted a few weeks before it disappeared with no explanation.
