Eddie Guerrero would have turned 53 on October 9th, and friends and colleagues of the late, great Latino Heat have been paying tribute over social media since. However, one current WWE Superstar decided to commemorate his hero in the ring.
This past Monday on Raw, Ricochet faced Cedric Alexander with the stipulation that if he lost, he'd have to join The Hurt Business. Things looked bad for The One and Only, but when MVP slid a chair into the ring, he took advantage of a referee distraction by tossing the weapon to his opponent and dropping to the mat in hilariously dramatic fashion.
When the ref turned around, he bought the ruse and disqualified Alexander.
Ricochet has now sent out a Tweet confirming that he was indeed paying homage to Guerrero.
We like to think Eddie would have appreciated this a lot, and can picture him grinning from ear to ear after the ref called for the bell.
