Roman Reigns Defeats Jey Uso At CLASH OF CHAMPIONS By Referee Stoppage

We expected a gripping encounter here, and we were not disappointed. The Tribal Chief asserted his dominance over his cousin with an intense heel performance, forcing Jimmy Uso to throw in the towel.

Roman Reigns is still Universal Champion after a dominant, somewhat disturbing victory over Jey Uso at Clash of Champions.

We knew the story of this match would be Jey fighting from underneath in an attempt to prove himself, and while he did get some good offence in towards the end, this was pretty much all Reigns. The Tribal Chief laid a vicious beating on his cousin, complete with running commentary. In the end, he did resort to heel tactics by powering out of Jey's splash pin attempt with a low blow, and things just got more difficult to watch from there.

Roman speared his opponent but refused to pin him, demanding that he acknowledge him as the chief and head of the family. Another spear and a flurry of brutal ground-and-pound strikes and Uso still wouldn't relent, forcing his brother Jimmy to limp to the ring and throw in the towel.

This is one of the best matches we've seen in any promotion for quite some time, mostly because of the compelling build-up and emotional story they told in the ring. Reigns has established himself as a genuinely scary heel, and we can't wait to see who emerges as his next challenger.

What did you guys think of this bout and Clash of Champions overall? Let us know in the usual place.
