Tiffy Time vs. The Queen? According to a new rumour, WWE has indeed discussed the possibility of pitting new WWE Women's Champion Tiffany Stratton against Charlotte Flair at this year's WrestleMania.
Stratton recently cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase to defeat Nia Jax for the title. She'll have her first televised title defence against Bayley on this week's SmackDown.
As for Flair, she's been sidelined since the end of 2023 with a torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus. However, she's believed to have now recovered and is expected back in time for the Show of Shows.
On the latest edition of SportsKeeda's Backstage Pass Q&A, @WrestleVotes revealed, "The only rumblings that I’ve heard are Tiffany and Charlotte. I don’t know if it’s going to happen. I know they’ve talked about it."
So, nothing is set in stone but it's a match WWE is seriously considering.
"There is a future star, I mean she’s a star now, her name is Tiffany Stratton," Flair said in 2023. "She’s like, ‘It’s because of you I wanted to become a wrestler’ and I’m like, ‘Hold on, I’m not that old Tiffany, please don’t say that in interviews’ [Laughs] But she’s that young. It blows my mind to realize that."
"I’ve had a hard time enjoying the journey and I’m just now learning how to enjoy the journey, I’ve been [constantly on] go. I don’t think about it all the time, but I got to meet Tiffany privately one day and we were just talking and I was just blown away by the impact I left on her and it felt really special," The Queen added.
Later that same year, Stratton said, "Charlotte reminds me I'm doing everything right. That I'm so young and it's okay to make mistakes and learn from them. I made mistakes already being a champion. But I learn from them right away. I'm so new to this. I'm so young and will grow with the title to hopefully be one of the best champions NXT has ever seen."
She succeeded in that endeavour and her popularity continues to grow since becoming WWE Women's Champion. Despite technically being a heel, Tiffy is receiving a babyface reaction and WWE might want to pull the trigger on a turn sooner rather than later.
