Seth Rollins Extracts Rey Mysterio's Eye To Win "Eye For An Eye" Match At EXTREME RULES

There's a sentence we never expected to type. Yes, Seth Rollins actually tore Rey Mysterio's eye out of its socket in order to win the first ever "Eye for an Eye" match at The Horror Show at Extreme Rules.

Well, they actually did it. We thought they'd find some way around this stipulation or that Rey Mysterio would end up showing mercy to Seth Rollins (that's what should have happened), but no, The Monday Night Messiah tore the legendary luchador's right eye out of its socket to with their "Eye for an Eye" match at Extreme Rules.

The match itself was actually very good, but the only thing anyone is going to remember is the finish. After repeatedly going for each other's eye, Rollins hit a low blow/Stomp combo on his opponent and dragged him to the steel steps where he... used the corner to push his eye out of his damn head.

That part wasn't particularly graphic, but we did get a quick shot of blood and the fake eye clutched in Rey's hand. Upon witnessing what he'd done, Rollins puked all over the place as Mysterio was helped to the back.

We were told later on that doctors were confident that they could reattach the eye and save Rey's sight.

This was... surprisingly disturbing? The entire thing is obviously ridiculous, but if you allowed yourself to buy into what was happening, it did turn out to be quite effective. Is this the end of Mysterio's career? Tune into Raw later tonight to find out.
