During Sunday's Money in the Bank PPV, Tamina was defeated by Bayley and failed to capture the SmackDown Women's Championship (which wasn't overly surprising if we're being honest). Still, the Samoan Superstar is a WWE veteran, and addressed the fact she's spent a decade with the company during a recent appearance on WWE's The Bump.
"When I actually hear you saying it? It kind of puts me back a little bit like ‘oh my gosh has it been that long already!?'" Tamina began. "I feel like it was just yesterday that when I showed up to FCW. So yeah, it’s gone by very quickly but I still can’t believe that it’s been all it’ll be almost 10 years coming up."
Tamina made her WWE debut alongside The Usos on RAW way back in May 2010, and acknowledged the pressures which come with that. "When you’re coming up onto the road that’s a huge big deal. Sometimes you may not even get to debut, you may not even get to go on TV. When we went up? We were at the arena and they actually called us over and Vince [McMahon] wanted to check us out and see what we were about and what we looked like. Our whole demeanour together right?"
"So when they said that we were debuting that night? I think we all just looked at each other like ‘hey, this is a rib right!?’ There’s no way we’re actually debuting tonight, and let alone against people who we absolutely love."
As you may recall, Tamina and The Usos attacked the Hart Dynasty (Tyson Kidd, Davey Boy Smith Jr., and Natalya) that night, and Tamina praised them for helping pave the way for the trio's respective futures in WWE.
We don't know what comes next for Tamina following her loss at Money in the Bank, but will keep you updated!
