This past weekend, Bayley achieved a huge milestone within the WWE.
Bayley closes out 2019 as the longest reigning combined Smackdown Women’s Champion in the company’s history. Becky Lynch was the previous record holder with 217 days; however, on December 28th, the Califonia native surpassed that record.
It was back at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view where the Smackdown star won the Women’s Championship. Bayley cashed in her contract and defeated Charlotte Flair to win the prestigious belt. She kept the title until Hell In a Cell, where the third generation star would regain the gold; however, it didn’t take long for the California native to recapture the belt.
After her new transformation, Bayley won the Smackdown Women's Championship back a week later and has since remained on top of the blue brand’s division. Speculation is
that Bayley is expected to defend the Smackdown Women's Championship against Lacey Evans at the Royal Rumble, though that match has yet to be confirmed.
