Next Friday, WWE will hold a show in London, England, as part of a condensed European tour. That means the SmackDown roster won't be in the U.S. for a live broadcast, and the company instead taped next Friday's episode last night. While pre-tapes tend to be fairly light on big moments, it appears the show will reveal Drew McIntyre as Roman Reigns' next challenger.
After that confrontation with Shinsuke Nakamura on the SmackDown after WrestleMania, there had been some speculation about the King of Strong Style taking aim at the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion. According to fans in attendance, Nakamura wasn't at SmackDown again last night, and WWE is clearly pulling the trigger on a Reigns/McIntyre feud for the summer now.
It was recently reported that Reigns will defend his title at WrestleMania Backlash, and that's probably where McIntyre will first attempt to win the unified championship from the Head of the Table.
This confrontation occurred during a contract signing with RAW Tag Team Champions RK-Bro and SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos. Reigns joined his cousins in the ring, prompting McIntyre to come out and help even the odds. With that, a brawl broke out between the two men.
