The MAE YOUNG CLASSIC Just Added Another WWE Hall Of Famer To Its Announce Team

It's already been confirmed that WWE Hall of Famers Jim Ross and Lita will be calling the action for the highly anticipated Mae Young Classic this summer but the former has revealed on the latest edition of his podcast that the duo will be joined by legendary Women's Champion Medusa.

She was part of wrestling history during the Monday Night Wars when she made the leap to WCW and dropped the then WWF's Women's Championship in the trash. Medusa would later return to WWE to be inducted into the Hall of Fame and has confirmed her presence for the upcoming tournament with the Instagram post below.

Rumour has it that the tournament will end with the crowning of a new Women's Champion (similar to what happened at the end of last year's Cruiserweight Classic when T.J. Perkins won the Cruiserweight Championship), but what that means for the current titles on RAW and SmackDown Live isn't clear.

Either way, there's no denying that the addition of Medusa to this historic event definitely feels appropriate. What do you guys think of this news?
