Has The Undertaker really retired? It certainly seems that way after what he said in the final episode of Undertaker: The Last Ride on the WWE Network, but he certainly appeared to leave the door open despite saying he no longer had a desire to step back into the ring.
Now, in a new interview with Sports Illustrated, the legendary WWE Superstar has once again indicated that he's not quite done with WWE, a company he recently signed a new fifteen-year contract with (he did, however, note that his deal isn't one for another fifteen years of wrestling matches).
"Physically, it’s becoming harder and harder to do what I do," The Undertaker explained. "My mind is saying yes, but my body is saying, ‘Slow your roll.’ There’s got to be a time where I step aside. It’s a lot on my body to work even the limited schedule that I do. I still have young children, I need to think about them, too."
"I can’t do the things I used to do," he added. "But if my name is on the card, my goal is to try to go out and steal the show. I can’t go out and perform half-ass. Otherwise, I’m cheating somebody. Ultimately, I will be the one to make that decision."
WrestleMania 37 is scheduled to take place in Los Angeles next year, and if The Undertaker does have one more match in him, it could be there it takes place.
