The World's Strongest Man Mark Henry Confirms That His WWE Career Is Coming To An End

Like The Big Show, Mark Henry has only been used sporadically on WWE programming in recent years and The World's Strongest Man has now confirmed that's because his career as an active competitor is ending.

A few years ago, Mark Henry had us all blubbing when he delivered what turned out to be a fake retirement speech (in a nifty salmon coloured suit) which led to him challenging John Cena for the WWE Championship. Since that feud, he's been used only sporadically and often as an enhancement talent for other up and coming WWE Superstars.

Recently, we've seen little to nothing of The World's Strongest Man and in a new interview on WWE Network's Table For 3, Henry confirms that he's going to be transitioning from a career as an active wrestler to taking on a
behind the scenes role in WWE. What that will be remains to be seen, but given his experience, it makes sense that the company would want him to stick around.

However, it definitely feels more than a little frustrating that Henry hasn't been given a decent send off with a solid storyline. Considering the fact he's said this is happening in "a few months," it's possible he could return and have some sort of retirement match but that may be a tad optimistic given how packed full of sub par content RAW is on a weekly basis.
