The WWE Network Will No Longer Be Available In Saudi Arabia Until Further Notice

Something weird appears to be going on as it's been confirmed today that the WWE Network is no longer available in Saudi Arabia (despite the fact WWE has a long-standing partnership with the country).

On Monday, WWE announced that a huge part of the WWE Network is going to be unlocked for free in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. It's a cool move by the company, but fans in Saudi Arabia have noticed something very strange.

When one fan reached out to a WWE Twitter account to mention that they were unable to take advantage of the offer, the company responded with, "Our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience. WWE Network will not be available in Saudi Arabia until further notice."

That's unexpected all things considered, but it's possible that the country has pulled the plug on streaming services like this one to protect Saudi Arabia's bandwidth in the midst of the Coronavirus crisis.

WWE and the  Saudi General Entertainment Authority officially expanded their partnership last year, meaning WWE will hold events in the country until 2027. A possible conflict over streaming rights is possible, of course, and we'll hopefully have more details on the situation soon.

Stay tuned for updates!
