Triple H is all about the future of WWE as the man responsible for spearheading NXT and one Superstar who he's been mentoring pretty much since day one is Seth Rollins. The first NXT Champion ultimately came to WWE as a member of The Shield before becoming WWE Champion and later beating Triple H in a hard fought contest at this year's WrestleMania.
During a recent chat with Sky Sports, Triple H was asked about the future of the company and singled out Rollins as being a WWE Superstar with all the right ingredients to be a big name for a very long time to come.
"To stand in the ring with a guy as talented as Seth Rollins is, who’s kind of the current and the future of WWE in many ways, it’s hard to describe how that feels. For me knowing that I was there as he was coming into the WWE, seeing his development in the Shield, being there for a lot of it and seeing him come all the way to where he is now, it’s very gratifying in a lot of ways."
That must have been very cool for Triple H, but no matter what he thinks of Rollins, it appears as if Vince McMahon is still intent on making Roman Reigns the face of the company.
The reasoning behind that is something wrestling fans have been debating for years now, but an argument that Rollins would be better suited to taking on that role can definitely be made! Regardless, he remains a clear favourite of The Game and is an extraordinary talent, so it goes without saying that we can expect him to remain near the top for a long time to come.
