WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus recently made her return to the company on Monday Night Raw to back-up Lita and Becky Lynch in their feud against Damage CTRL, setting up a six-woman tag-match at WrestleMania.
Initially, we had heard that Trish would be facing Bayley in a singles feud after the PLE, but it seems the powers that be may have different plans in store for the former WWE Women's Champion.
A new rumor is claiming that Stratus is going to turn heel during or immediately after her 'Mania match, attacking Lynch and laying the groundwork for what would be a massive angle going forward.
Dave Meltzer weighed in on the rumor during the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
“Regarding rumors of Trish Stratus going heel and facing Becky Lynch at Summerslam, we had heard those prior to Stratus appearing on television in the sense she was going to turn heel on this return. The only thing confirmed was that there were twists and turns coming.”
So, this report may not be entirely accurate, but it sounds like we will see some kind of storyline swerve for Trish on the grandest stage of them all.
